Honestly, I had never considered or even thought about flying for Outrage in the past. However, after spending a few days with Tareq and Steve, learning the machines and talking about the product, I saw a great opportunity to help the brand. It was not long after my return from Europe when I received a formal offer from Outrage and after a lot of consideration, I accepted. The company has gone through some issues, but has also made some changes lately that will help it in the long run. I feel that my knowledge and experience could be of great value and the relationship will be mutually beneficial.

In addition, also during the trip, I established a very good relationship with Stefano from SAB, and soon thereafter I was asked to be part of the test team for the Goblin project, which of course I accepted! I am proud to be part of the SAB team flying their Goblin helicopter as well as the line of SAB blades.

I am very excited and look forward to the opportunity to challenge myself bringing many positive changes to Outrage and taking it to the next level. I want to personally thank everyone for all the support I was given during this period, I was literally flooded with offers and opportunities, I am very grateful and thankful to have so many good friends.

Alex, Wicky, Mike and Meg went on a nice shore excursion in Belize to see the ruins of Altun Ha while James Cistola went on a 2 tank deep water dive and James VanHook, Amanda, Ray, Suzi and I went for a tour of Belize city and the country side.

The highlight of the whole trip was during our stop in Cozumel, Mexico when we all went to Carlos’ n Charlie’s for lunch and some drinks, we certainly had a lot of fun there. All in all, everybody had a great time, we enjoyed some delicious food, had plenty to drink, relax and most importantly, took time away from it all!

The cabins are filling up, but I managed to get one final extension to signup with $100.00 deposit shown below, the deadline is August 15th. If you fail to sign up prior to that date, you’ll need to submit a higher deposit!

Why not? Bobby Watts and I are going on a cruise to the Caribbean towards the end of the year and we’re going to be shooting the last episode of SmackTalk RC (season 2) aboard the ship. With the help of my good friend Zitka, we have secured a group on this ship called “RC Heli-Cruise Friends and Family Thanksgiving Getaway”. Zitka has been in the travel industry for almost 20 years and has worked closely with all the major cruise lines, this has allowed her to not only secure this group for us, but also to get some great rates, and even a complimentary $25.00 onboard credit per person.

• How much does it cost?

The rates are listed below. If you are interested in going, you need to put down a deposit of $50.00 prior to July 31st, 2011. Everything is based on double occupancy, so in order to reserve your space onboard the ship, you’ll need to provide a minimum of two deposits ($50.00 + $50.00), either yourself and your wife, girlfriend or even a friend. If you don’t have a friend that interested in sharing a room with you, you can always make a deposit of $100.00 to reserve your cabin and then get re-reimbursed from a friend later.

Among the most important differences between the DX8 and the new DX7s; the DX7s has one less channel, it doesn’t have a backlit screen, has a single idle up mode and does not include a telemetry module.

The DX7s still fully supports telemetry like the DX8 and it is SD card compatible, it shares some of the same menu functionality as the DX8.
